In July 2023, Hynetek's PD Source HUSB362 has passed the USB-IF Association's PD3.1 EPR certification test and has become one of the first chips to be authorised with the PD3.1 EPR certification, TID 9692, and has been included in the list of integrators (the list is available at www.usb.org).
The HUSB362 is a high performance PD protocol chip with integrated MCU that supports EPR mode 140 W (28 V 5 A), PPS from 18 W to 100 W, and AVS from 100 W to 140 W. It can support multiple PDOs with programmable voltages and currents, e.g., PPS PDO, EPR PDO, all of which are fully compliant with USB PD 3.1 specification. The HUSB362 also implements a programmable DPDM PHY, and the D+ and D- pins can be configured to support QC2.0, QC3.0, AFC, FCP, and Divider 3 modes, providing excellent compatibility with legacy devices.
The HUSB362 has an integrated N-MOS driver that controls whether or not it conducts between VIN and VBUS, thus protecting devices connected to the Type-C connector. In addition, the high voltage tolerance and protection of its CC1, CC2, D+ and D- pins provide more reliability to the system. In addition to this, the HUSB362 has been designed with adequate protection for LPS (Limited Power Supply).
