Product Descriptions

The HP3500 is a synchronous rectifier controller designed for flyback topology applications, suitable for a variety of medium to small power fast chargers/adapters. It integrates synchronous rectification control logic along with a power MOSFET for synchronous rectification, providing the simplest possible secondary-side synchronous rectification solution.

The HP3500 consumes only 250uA of quiescent current, effectively saving static power consumption under light-load conditions. Moreover, it supports a maximum switching frequency of up to 200kHz, covering the common operating frequency range for medium to small power devices.The integrated power MOSFET has a low on-resistance of 15mΩ, achieving ultra-fast detection and turn-off, which significantly improves the overall system efficiency compared to diode rectification methods.

The HP3500 is capable of adaptive high-side and low-side applications, functioning properly under both connection methods. The internal power MOSFET automatically turns on when the current flows forward, and the chip's control logic can automatically adapt to different operating modes under flyback mode, including QR (Quasi-Resonant), CCM (Continuous Conduction Mode), and DCM (Discontinuous Conduction Mode).The HP3500 is available in an SOP-8L package option.
