The HP1017 is a constant voltage conversion mode boost controller featuring Power Factor Correction (PFC). It employs constant on-time control to achieve high Power Factor (PF) and low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) without the need for a multiplier. Operating the Boost converter in quasi-resonant mode, the HP1017 ensures high efficiency and improved Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) performance. With a specialized design for fast startup and reliable protection, it meets safety requirements.
