The HUSB382D is a high performance, high integration USB Type-C and USB Type-A Port controller. It integrates the VBUS power switches and current sensing resistors to save board space and BOM cost. When a single port is attached, the controller enables fast charging protocols such as USB PD or HVDCP. However, when both ports are connected simultaneously, it provides only a 5 V output. The HUSB382D is a USB PD3.1 controller which supports 5 FPDOs and 2 APDOs with programmable current and voltage. Additionally, it is compatible with a range of charging protocols, including BC1.2 DCP, Apple 5V 2.4 A, QC2.0/3.0/QC3+, AFC, FCP, and SCP, as well as PE1.1+/2.0. The HUSB382D integrates all essential protections, including Over voltage Protection (OVP), Under voltage Protection (UVP), Under voltage Lockout (UVLO), Overcurrent Protection (OCP), Fast Overcurrent Protection (FOCP), and Thermal Shut Down (TSD). It is available in ESSOP-10L package.

Zero-Peripheral Minimalist Design
The HUSB382D continues Huntkey's new product philosophy of "zero-peripheral" design. By integrating all VBUS switches, sampling resistors, and loop configuration resistors/capacitors within the ESSOP-10L package, it eliminates the need for soldering numerous peripheral components, simplifying the design process. This effectively reduces the charger's size, facilitating compact and lightweight product design.

Easy Layout, Easy Soldering
For charger manufacturers, traditional multi-layer PCB designs often come with high costs and inefficiency. However, the innovative solution using the HUSB382D adopts a dual USB port common-ground design, eliminating the need for sampling resistors and separate current-sensing traces. This avoids complex, winding current path designs—simply laying out a smooth ground plane is enough to achieve full functionality.
Flexible High-Voltage Output with Broad Protocol Compatibility
The HUSB382D supports 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V FPDO (Fixed PDO) with a maximum output power of 65W. It is compatible with mainstream charging protocols and delivers higher charging efficiency, making it ideal for powering a variety of electronic devices such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones.
